wrong!
it's the candy butler offering you some #candy to the sound of some sweet, sweet vocaloid electro swing!
The obvious one was never posted... :-)
【花冷え。】-我甘党- (WE LOVE SWEETS) Music Video【HANABIE.】(add:English Lyrics)
Another #JMusicFriday #candy entry, to LOL for all the reasons
Song "Candies" (1973) from the album "Anata ni Muchū: Uchiki na Candies" by the group Candies 😝

I was looking for a video just of the song, but sadly could not find. Here is the whole album. 50+ y.o. jpop engage!
It looks like candy is a popular theme in Japanese music!
Today's J-Music Friday has a theme of Candy. Thanks @cthellis for coming up with it.
My addition is Babymetal's Gimme Chocolate. https://song.link/s/17ZOICUf4FYlzOAQajt3rN
JMusic Friday this week has the Halloween theme of Candy.

Was about to post KPP but it`s already taken :)
So for the the candy theme of #JMusicFriday here is Candye♡Syrup
I don't have stats on previous Octobers, so for #JMusicFriday for the rest of this month--and since we end on Halloween itself--gonna fill it with what October is known for, starting with... #Candy
(Any sweets known for begging door to door will do)
And do I have any other choice? 😝
Do not accuse me of just using it as an excuse! (Though it very possibly is.)
#JMusicFriday revival by @cthellis, themed hiking / trekking / journeys

>> Are you ready to see another world? ...never ending our journey <<
One of my favourite Jpop tracks.
This week's #JMusicFriday's theme is about hiking/trekking/journeys!
Very obvious answer incoming, but I was listening to it yesterday:
宇多田ヒカル/Utada Hikaru - traveling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuyZ9f6mHZk
Ok, #JMusicFriday is back and that's a thing that makes me happy, but it's always hard for me to think of something good to fit the themes. I think I got this one though. Under #Journeys how about a theme from Ys? A fairly epic series and Adol is the self-proclaimed adventurer who never stops journeying (it kind of becomes a whole thing in later entries, lol. I think he'd rather die than stay in one place too long.)
Here is "Endless History," an arrange of the "The Morning Grow" theme from the games with vocals added. In the Ys OVA this became the ending theme from, if I recall, episode 3 on. Also, it's just plain beautiful to listen to.
I had to think about this for a while, but then I realized that when I'm thinking of #journeys , there is no other choice but Tabi no Tochuu from Spice and Wolf.
This is a song all about traveling with someone important and facing every challenge together out of love and trust.
A beautiful Waltz as well, it's fantastic for dancing or just listening.
Take me Home, Country Roads also fit the journey theme quite well!!!
Here it is, covered by Hijokaidan and Miku
#JMusicFriday theme is about hiking/trekking/journeys.
Thanks to @cthellis for the revival!!!
Here is a Journey from EMPIRE
I forgot #JMusicFriday was even a thing.
WEEKS now I was curious if Fridays were just ignored for music stuff--maybe because people have THINGS to do and HOT DATES to go on--but I hadn't noticed anything!
At last, a thing on a day with a music!
...
Right, this will be the one I don't weeb up then? Maybe.
At least we'll start that way.
What to stat with? Favorite Zard or favorite Pamelah? 🤔
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdnhjHt1blg
(I guess we have our answer.)
Can't seem to find an official music video of it, tho. Sads.
Welp, I'm'a take a stab at bringing #JMusicFriday themes back, though everyone is free to ignore them. 😝
We'll see how long I can stick with; I just need something for the Friday list! This is as good as anything.
I peeled back what I could find of earlier topics, and I'll look for more when I have time, so I can dodge them. (Or at least not bring them back for a while.)
For today...? The leaves by me are starting to turn, so I think #SeasonalChanges is nice, or specifically #Autumn or #Fall in this case. (Sorry Southern Hemisphere.)
And what will I specifically drop to start?
I haven't seen any Yumi Arai/Yumi Matsutoya (Yuumin!) around, and in here absolute landslide of albums there is one "Autumn Park" from ALARM à la mode (1986)

In my quest to re-#JMusicFriday #JMusicFriday I started with a small list of themes after looking at the past ones, before I dropped last week's selection, and for today it was going to be #hiking / #trekking / #journeys . Hiking feels like a fall activity, but a bit too small on its own, so...
What I had NOT realized until looking at Yumi Matsutoya (Yumi Arai / Yuumin!) works last week is that she has an absolute banger and classic, which got a young witch named Kiki started on her journey to find a city to settle down in. A perfect fit!
So here's a weird video of Rouge no Tendon to enjoy! (This also gets a modern callout, starting the car trip in Suzume.)
Also, here is the Kiki ending music, sung live and with a suitcase! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6LmGDD5vk8
Looks like @cthellis is working to revive JMusic Friday, so I'll give it a shot again.
They're going with hiking / trekking / journeys as the theme this week.
So let's go with YURAPICO "The Journey"
Nice. It appears that @cthellis is trying to resurrect JMusic Friday.
The theme is hiking, trekking, or journeys.
So, how about the most recent i-dle Japanese single, "Where Do We Go." https://song.link/y/8N7VN2kRGxc

This week, my Japanese album review for #JMusicFriday is わたしが鳴こうホトトギス by 戸川純 and Vampillia.
This is an otherworldly collaboration between the avant-garde artist Jun Tagawa (戸川純) and the band Vampilia, know for their strange fusion between Classical Music and Heavy Metal.
The band moves fluidly from orchestral swells to metallic chaos, underscoring Togawa’s eccentric narratives with both beauty and brutality.
The result is a mix of beauty, noise experiment, and raw emotions. Not the easiest album to listen to for the uninitiated, but a marvelous piece of art for the exploratory minds...
My promise is to talk to you about a Japanese music album every week for #JMusicFriday
This week: Alice by MIGMA SHELTER.
This is a psychedelic idol masterpiece that pushes the boundaries of what J-Pop can be..
It mix Electronic psytrance with field recording and real musical instruments to create an immersive and strange soundscape that you cannot escape from.
Don't miss it. Listen to it here
Please use the #JMusicFriday hashtag and write about your favorite album or song!!
The #JMusicFriday hashtag relatively died out...
So I will recuperate it and each friday I will post a Japanese album that is worth it (according to me, at least).
I generally post individual songs but good recommendation of whole albums is also nice!
So to start this off, I propose Carnival by Sheena Ringo.
This was my AOTY for 2024!
This is a cool jazzy album whose particularity is the presence of a guest artist on every tracks.
This include (but is not limited to: Nocchi (from Perfume), Atarashi Gakko! and DAOKO.
My favorite track is "Hatsu K.O. Gachi" featuring Nocchi.
Listen to it here
Feel free to use the hashtag and write about your favorite album or song too!
