I recently got myself a Fairphone6 (my 7yo phone's screen was dying on me), and it's an okay phone.
I'm not a security head, so I can't speak about that (I keep my bootloader unlocked X), but for me personally, it was a good compromise between specs, openness (they do still have proprietary binary blobs, but everything produced directly by Fairphone is source-available), price (including the price of repair), and being able to use my bank's app (they don't send SMS anymore, yay).
make of that what you will.
