@Li@tech.lgbt while i do understand how quantifying harm can lead to the acceptation that harm "has to exist", i don't see how refusing to do so helps even as a band-aid solution, while we collectively try to achieve something better.

who said harm reduction had to be something to cause harm?
wasn't the whole point of it to contain the current harm being made while we figure out How to stop it entirely?

      @Li@tech.lgbt it's not about wether or not to help is it? It's about how much help one can bring within one's own ability.

      heck, you don't even need to quantify it, just having a rough idea of the impact you can have can help you make as much of it as possible.

          like .. you made this point for me .. i don't *need* to quantify it to help people- hence, i wont. that does not exclude me from helping out with things as much as i can
