It seems that when I'm away, my cat uses my computer to donate to the open-source projects i have installed on my computer.

I had this happen to me as well, this is not an issue caused by android, it's just that your SD card found it used too many write cycles and went into read-only mode to avoid corruption that would occur if you wrote anything more to it.
no choice but to buy a new one and copy the data over, dead SD cards are not recoverable :/

          @Li@tech.lgbt no one uses animate for ineractive things anymore, adobe deprecated it alongside flash, so i think there might be ways.
          lottie especially, synfig and glaxnimate both support it, and it's the industry's (open) standard by now

                                        i used square home for years before switching to kvaesitso, but if you want something more normal, there are plenty of options of f-droid, like einstein or fossify.
                                        don't limit yourself to the options on the play store, the foss world has a lot to offer (and you have the guarantee they wont enshittify as easily)
